Grizzly Bear Standing Alert in Green Meadow
2048 × 1365 px Desktop Added 5 downloads
A brown bear stands at the edge of a grassy clearing and looks straight toward the camera, its ears upright and its head level. The fur is a mix of chestnut and darker brown, with lighter tips across the shoulders and face. Behind it, a stand of evergreen trees fades into soft focus, and pale, weathered snags lie scattered across the meadow. Fresh green grass fills the foreground and gives the frame a calm, spring-like feel.
The grizzly (Ursus arctos horribilis) is a North American subspecies of the brown bear. Grizzlies are omnivores. They eat grasses, roots, berries and insects, along with fish and carrion, and they will hunt young elk or deer when they can. Open meadows like this one are useful feeding ground, and bears often stand upright on their hind legs or pause like this to check the air for scents. The photo was taken in the United States in June 2019. The wide landscape format, with the bear centred and plenty of soft green around it, suits desktop monitors and ultrawide screens, and icons placed along the edges won't cover the subject.
