Sailboats Off Sunset Key Beneath Towering Clouds

A low island lined with palms and tucked-in rooftops sits along the middle of the frame, edged by a pale rock seawall. Two sailboats cross the teal water in front of it. The one on the left is a small sloop with a single white sail. The larger one near the centre carries several sails and leaves a faint wake. Behind them, big cumulus clouds rise over the horizon, their tops catching warm light while their undersides stay soft and grey. The sky shifts from pale blue overhead to a hazy gold near the water. The mood is calm, with plenty of open sea in the foreground.

Sunset Key is a small island just off Key West, at the southern end of the Florida Keys, and it is reached by boat. Tall cumulus like these are common over warm tropical water, where heated, moist air rises and builds into towering columns, often in the afternoon and toward evening. The wide landscape format leaves room for desktop icons along the bottom, and the open water on the left and right works well on ultrawide monitors and laptop screens.
